About Us

The Teams Ambassadors Group constitutes a volunteer cohort comprising of cross-functional representatives from various campus units. The primary objective of this collective is to provide support to colleges in navigating the Skype-to-Teams migration and to help facilitate the adoption of the Microsoft Teams as a tool for collaboration.

Purpose

Serve as the primary point of contact for facilitation and coordination of outreach, communications, and training initiatives to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to UIUC adoption of MS Teams.  

Phase 1 Goals

  1. Identification of unit-based primary stakeholders for MS Teams rollout 
  2. Communication plan for MS Teams rollout 
  3. Training plan for MS Teams (telephony, collaboration features, best practices) 
  4. Knowledgebase documentation for MS Teams service (including resources, best practices, and support) 
  5. MS Teams transition guide for IT Pros to use with their units 
  6. Create a team of users who can research and recommend MS Teams Hardware

Phase 2 Goals

  1. Detailed scope and rollout plan for each unit/college 
  2. Monitoring and facilitation of implementation in each unit/college 
  3. Recommended process for MS Teams platform integrations
