The Teams Ambassadors Group constitutes a volunteer cohort comprising of cross-functional representatives from various campus units. The primary objective of this collective is to provide support to colleges in navigating the Skype-to-Teams migration and to help facilitate the adoption of the Microsoft Teams as a tool for collaboration.
Purpose
Serve as the primary point of contact for facilitation and coordination of outreach, communications, and training initiatives to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to UIUC adoption of MS Teams.
Phase 1 Goals
- Identification of unit-based primary stakeholders for MS Teams rollout
- Communication plan for MS Teams rollout
- Training plan for MS Teams (telephony, collaboration features, best practices)
- Knowledgebase documentation for MS Teams service (including resources, best practices, and support)
- MS Teams transition guide for IT Pros to use with their units
- Create a team of users who can research and recommend MS Teams Hardware
Phase 2 Goals
- Detailed scope and rollout plan for each unit/college
- Monitoring and facilitation of implementation in each unit/college
- Recommended process for MS Teams platform integrations
