Student Affairs Annual Fund

This fund is part of the overall annual giving effort throughout the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. Student Affairs at Illinois transforms lives through: exceptional programming, relevant services, progressive facilities, and vibrant living/learning environments. We create an Illinois experience that empowers students to achieve their greatest potential, personally and academically.

Annual fund gifts have an immediate, direct impact on our students, staff, and faculty because they are allocated during the fiscal year in which they are given. These funds provide the Vice Chancellor with the ability to meet the highly prioritized needs of our students. They support a wide range of programs and events relevant to student leaders, and initiatives that foster broad collaboration so that we may better serve the needs of our students. These have included:

  • Lunch Bunch:  A group of student leaders from across campus that meet with the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs monthly to discuss student concerns and encourage cross-campus collaboration and communication.
  • Strategic Initiative Grants:  Funds that promote collaborations among Student Affairs units and with academic units across campus, and support innovative programs that address emerging student issues and also address one of the strategic goals of Student Affairs.

Events that facilitate increased intergenerational networking between alumni and students and that encourage lifelong engagement among the Student Affairs Community.
