Conservation and management of natural resources requires enhanced knowledge of the status and role of both invertebrates and vertebrates in ecosystems. The Taylor lab studies the biology, conservation and management of caves, karst, and other subterranean environments, as well as the conservation, management and biology of both invertebrates and vertebrates in other sensitive habitats.

NOTE: I retired from the University of Illinois July 2017, though I continue some collaborations with colleagues at the University, especially in the Illinois Natural History Survey.
