Since our department is housed within the School of Literatures, Cultures, and Linguistics and many of the members of our SLS community enjoy listening to music from our Slavic countries, at SLS-16 we will have a special event on sevdalinka, consisting of a talk/workshop on sevdalinka and a mini concert at the end of the conference. We are thrilled to announce that we will learn about sevdalinka from:
- Damir Imamović, a renowned Bosnian musician, singer, author of sevdalinka, the winner of “The Best Artist of Europe” in 2021 Songlines World Music Awards.
