Teaching Portfolio

Description

This portfolio includes links to students’ work in the different classes that I have taught.

A) WIKIBOOKS
The goal of this activity is to replace the activity of submitting a paper to the instructor, with an activity that involved collaboration and delivery to a broader audience. The students had to develop their papers in a wiki system and individually or in teams they create individual chapters for each section of the book. The following are the links to the Wikibooks created in different classes taught at the University of Illinois, Universidad de San Luis and Universidad Autonoma de Aguascalientes.

B) STUDENTS’ EPORTFOLIOS
Goal:
As a reflective activity, students have to review all the activities completed in the semester and identify which activities better demonstrate their achievement of the goals of the class. They have to select only one activity per goal and explain why this one reflects their fulfillment of a goal. This activity let students reflect on their own achievements and learning in the class.

C) STUDENTS’ REFLECTIVE BLOGS
Goal:
Provide a weekly opportunity for students’ reflection and connection between theory and practice.

D) STUDENTS’ MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTIONS
Goal:
That students are able to present their work in online format in a professional manner. This activity is completed in different courses fulfilling the stated goal plus a course topic related goal. For example in the Instructional Design course, students create a multimedia presentation and also an online module.
