RAL is collaborating with KICT (Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology, Korea) through a multi-year contract to advance the green rating system in Korea.
Collaboration with the Daikin Open Innovation Lab (Silicon Valley), RAL (Responsive Architecture Lab @ UIUC), CEBD (Center for Environmental Building + Design @ UPenn), and HERB Lab (@ Worcester Polytechnic Institute) continues, focusing on residential building performance using data.
Dr. Yun Kyu Yi and his team at RAL (Responsive Architecture Lab) collaborated with CEBD (Center for Environmental Building and Design) at the University of Pennsylvania, and UrbSys Lab at the University of Florida received a fund from the Daikin Open Innovation Lab Silicon Valley to research on Advanced Building Thermal Modeling. Project use machine learning and other inverse modeling technic to develop building energy model from Ecobee smart thermostat dataset.
