JOHN KOCORAS

PARTNER, SKADDEN LLP

John Kocoras is a Partner at the Chicago offices of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP where he practices in white collar defense and investigations focusing on internal investigations, government enforcement defense, complex litigation, and compliance program development. He previously served in several federal positions, including as a former federal prosecutor with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of Illinois. He has overseen cases involving white collar crimes including securities violations, health care fraud, and public corruption, as well as national security matters, cyber-crimes, and violent crimes. Mr. Kocoras has been recognized nationally for his work, including being named among Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Global Litigators.

Mr. Kocoras received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois and his J.D. from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law (cum laude) in 1997.
