USDA Declares Drought Disaster in Much of Wheat Belt

Wheat-growers in the Great Plains of the United States are set to collect record insurance payments for crops lost during the 2012 drought. USAID Mobilizes Record Amount of Private Capital to Support Small Businesses in Developing Countries

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) worked with 23 countries in 2012 to unlock up to US$525 million in private capital to go to “underserved entrepeneurs”.
