Kazakhstan has announced that it has enough elevator facilities for the reception of the new harvest, with 221 companies providing grain storage services in addition to those owned by agricultural producers. The country has the capacity to store 23 million tonnes of grain. The government is offering food producers the option to build new or upgrade existing grain storage at the expense of the National Fund. KazAgroFinance has launched a new program called “Harvest 2012” to help small farmers acquire lease financing for harvesting and drying equipment.
