Farmers Still Struggling With Low Harvests Post-Hurricane Irene

The effects of Hurricane Irene continue to add to the postharvest loss of crops in New York. Gov. Andrew Cuomo responded by creating the Agriculture and Community Recovery Fund, which consists of $15 million. Current losses are estimated to be at about $45 million.
