The African Development Bank and the Islamic Development Bank will loan $70 million to Uganda for its Community Agriculture Infrastructure Improvement Plan in order to improve storage facilities and secure more resources for mechanization. This plan intends to reduce PHL by 20%. The 9th annual partnership meeting between the African Development Bank and the FAO took place in Tunis this past week, reviewing latest developments and encouraged continued collaboration especially in the areas of agribusiness, PHL reduction, etc.
