Nutrition and Exercise Performance Research Group
Who We Are
The Nutrition and Exercise Performance Research Group investigates how nutrition and exercise impact physical performance and metabolic health. Building on the legacy of Thomas K. Cureton Jr., the “Father of Physical Fitness,” our team—comprising students from Kinesiology and Nutritional Sciences—conducts both acute metabolic studies and long-term training interventions. Guided by Cureton’s philosophy, we believe that the true laboratories of physical education are found in the pools, playfields, gymnasiums, and camps.
