I’m a senior from Naperville, Illinois majoring in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences with a concentration in health diversity. I am currently on the pre-med track with the goal of becoming a physician working in the field of fertility and women’s health. I am the president of the student chapter of Doctors Without Borders at UIUC and Healing Everything and Reaching the Soul (HEARTS), a volunteer-focused student organization on campus. I am also the treasurer of CodeRed, a period equity, education, and empowerment student organization. I joined the lab because of the alignment with my interests in reproductive health and toxicology as well as endometriosis. Through this experience, I have grown a lot in my understanding of reproductive diseases and immunohistochemistry techniques. In my free time, I enjoy cooking Persian food, exercising, spending time with friends, and reading.
