Biography

My current research focuses on understanding the ecology of Lyme disease in regards to the interactions between the black-legged tick, wildlife hosts and the pathogen Borrelia. My previous research has involved population viability analyses of endangered plants as well as mapping the historic vegetation of the prairie peninsula across Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. Overall, I am a computational ecologist that utilizes tools such as modelling, GIS and statistics to answer ecological questions.
