Katie was active in behavioral research of North American river otters. Katie used trail cameras to determine river otter visitation rates at latrines and examine the behaviors that river otters display when visiting latrines. She was also involved in genetic research of white-tailed deer, specifically herds afflicted with chronic wasting disease.
