Safe Capture Training: Chemical Immobilization and Anesthesia of Domestic and Wildlife Species
This training provides the most complete, up-to-date instruction available on chemical immobilization of animals, presented in an easy-to-understand manner that is applicable to all experience levels. The instructors are veterinarians and biologists who specialize in remotely-delivered anesthetic agents. This program, which has historically been considered by many to be the standard in chemical immobilization training, is now part of San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance Academy.

NWRA Wildlife Medicine Course
Provided by the National Wildlife Rehabilitation Association, the purpose of this course is to provide an opportunity for students in accredited veterinary schools to gain formal training in medicine, surgery, and captive management of native wildlife species. This course is an online hybrid model that will allow students to review the material online and complete quizzes before a weekend of in-person learning and a wet lab.

Aquatics Focus
MARVET Mississippi & Roatan
MARVET (Marine Veterinary Medicine) is a marine medicine program offering introductory externship courses in aquatic animal clinical and conservation medicine for veterinary students, veterinarians and others in allied health and conservation fields who would like to become more acquainted with the expanding specialty of marine animal health and conservation medicine.
An introduction to marine veterinary medicine is provided in a workshop format combining traditional classroom presentations and discussions with practical hands-on applications in aquatic animal facilities and in the natural environment.

AQUAVET I, II, & III
This program is tailored for vet students and practicing veterinarians keen on careers in aquariums, dolphinariums, aquaculture, or wildlife settings involving fish, marine mammals, and other aquatic species. In essence, Cornell’s AQUAVET® offers immersive, faculty-led training in aquatic veterinary medicine, combining theoretical and practical learning to equip veterinarians for work in aquatic animal health.

SeaVet
SeaVet Clinical Training is an intensive 2-week course designed to teach veterinary students and licensed veterinarians the foundations of aquatic animal medicine through didactic lecture, case-based problem solving, and practical experience. Registrants will learn anatomy, physiology, medical approaches, and husbandry considerations for a variety of species groups including manatees, cetaceans, pinnipeds, sea turtles, aquatic bids, fish, amphibians, and aquatic invertebrates.
SeaVet Clinical Training is conducted in a hybrid format, with virtual registrants participating via Zoom and in-person registrants attending lectures at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine (UF CVM) in Gainesville, Florida.
