MARVET Mississippi & Roatan

MARVET (Marine Veterinary Medicine) is a marine medicine program offering introductory externship courses in aquatic animal clinical and conservation medicine for veterinary students, veterinarians and others in allied health and conservation fields who would like to become more acquainted with the expanding specialty of marine animal health and conservation medicine.

SeaVet

SeaVet Clinical Training is an intensive 2-week course designed to teach veterinary students and licensed veterinarians the foundations of aquatic animal medicine through didactic lecture, case-based problem solving, and practical experience. Registrants will learn anatomy, physiology, medical approaches, and husbandry considerations for a variety of species groups including manatees, cetaceans, pinnipeds, sea turtles, aquatic bids, fish, amphibians, and aquatic invertebrates.

SeaVet Clinical Training is conducted in a hybrid format, with virtual registrants participating via Zoom and in-person registrants attending lectures at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine (UF CVM) in Gainesville, Florida.
