Nepal Earthquake Disaster Relief

Dear UIUC community,

Nepal was hit by a devastating earthquake of 7.9 Richter scale in magnitude on April 25, 2015. More than 100 aftershocks have been felt so far, of which 30 were of more than 4.0 Richter scale in magnitude, making things worse. More than 5,000 deaths have been reported, leaving tens of thousands injured. This number is expected to rise in the days ahead. More than 50 Nepalese students, faculty, staff and their family members at UIUC are directly impacted by this disaster along with millions of people in Nepal.

Nepal and Nepalese people are in a dire need of help at this moment. In this hour of extreme difficulty, Nepalese Student Association – UIUC (NeStA – UIUC) requests your support in providing assistance to the survivors in Nepal through following channels.
