From examining the originality report, I learned that I did not plagiarize. I had a 0% overall match. According to Blackboard’s recommendations for interpreting overall Safe assign scores, papers usually include some quotes and some common phrases that match other documents. Typically these papers have no evidence of plagiarism.

I don’t think the plagiarism catcher missed anything. It didn’t highlight a single thing. I did not find any lapses in academic integrity that the plagiarism catcher failed to catch. I believe that it does bring up ethical concerns for teachers because of the fact that we are relying on software to do the job for them. Sometimes the software isn’t coded properly for specific instances and bugs might occur. It is risky to completely reply on a software.
