About Alireza

I obtained my BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 2014 and MS in Mechanical Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2018. I am continuing toward Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Narayana Aluru at Illinois. My research tries to use artificial intelligence in solving mathematically and theoretically difficult physical problems, using big data and neural network-based models. Furthermore, I work on the multi-scale and molecular-scale simulation of similar physical phenomena using all-atom and coarse-grained force fields. I developed coarse-grained force fields for room temperature ionic liquids (RITLs) which have abundant applications in energy storage, CO2 reduction, and nano-manufacturing of advanced 2D materials. I performed MD simulation to understand the physics of exfoliation and CO2 reduction using RTILs.
