Since 2004, the Midwest Winter Workshop has offered an annual opportunity for regional graduate students and faculty to discuss rhetorical methods and theory, as well as professional development and networking.
The event invites participants from over 12 Midwest universities to engage one another in breakaway sessions and panels, to workshop graduate student papers (at any stage), and to make new connections between colleagues. Because of the variety of interests participants bring to table, the Midwest Winter Workshop is a space of intra- disciplinary engagement, sharing, and community.
Organized by graduate students, the 13th Midwest Winter Workshop will take place at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, on February 8th, 2020.
This event provides a space to broaden theoretical horizons, introduce new collaborators for projects and panel presentations, converse between varied academic institutions, and train in professionalization for career success.
