About the Symposium
Founded in 2019, the Midwest Microbiome Symposium is the premier microbiome conference in the Midwest. The symposium brings together researchers from industry, academia, and government to share cutting-edge research and build cross-sector collaborations. Learn more about the symposium.
Led jointly by the Ohio State University, Purdue University, and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, the symposium spans research in human health, agriculture, environmental systems, drug discovery, and bioinformatics. Attendance has grown steadily, with 200–250 participants each year.
