The Next 100 Years
McKinley is the official campus health center of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. We are dedicated to promoting the health and wellbeing of students while fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where all students feel comfortable seeking care. McKinley is an integral part of the University providing advisory expertise to campus Administration. Our values of safety, quality and service guide us in enhancing and expanding our services to meet the evolving needs of our diverse campus community.
Our vision to be a leader in collegiate healthcare is recognized through our innovative approaches to provide a range of services. Our vending machine pilot project launched in Spring of 2023, that dispensed over-the-counter non-prescription medications to students at no additional cost. The successful implementation led to the addition of three more vending machines the following semester, located around campus at high traffic areas. McKinley added clinical massage to their Rehab and Sports Therapy services Spring 2024.
McKinley will be opening a satellite location in the near future to improve access to urgent care needs for students. We are also exploring the expansion of services in the areas of dentistry and optometry, which have been an ongoing need for our student community. Our health education programs and outreach efforts continue to empower students with the knowledge to excel in the classroom as well as outside of the classroom.
Prioritizing McKinley’s values of safety, quality and service will help us exceed the expectations of our campus community while we maintain our commitment to excellence. As McKinley advances its mission we will ensure its services remain relevant and effective for the future needs of our campus.
