This new medical initiative brings together experts across multiple disciplines and medical professions to build a more advanced robotic system for surgery and emergency medicine and improve communications and networking of medical systems.

We aim to improve upon da Vinci systems by adding advanced engineering technologies to existing robots, as well as develop a second generation of miniature robotic surgery devices. Additionally, we are working to transform medical monitoring displays and medical records into a disease model-based team and role-based situation awareness system to improve communication in the medical field.
