Undergraduate student researcher positions open in the laboratory of Dr. Joe Qiao, Comparative Biosciences Department
Qiao lab is seeking freshman and sophomore students currently enrolled in biology-related majors to conduct guided research on homologous recombination and checkpoint pathways in mouse meiosis. We are looking for students who are able to start during the Fall 2017 semester and to continue their work throughout the school years. Specific tasks include genotyping/PCR, mouse husbandry, immunohistology, immunofluorescence, and other molecular and cytological work. Prior laboratory experience is not required.
Candidate requirements:
- GPA of 3.7 or higher (for sophomores)
- AP/IB Biology and Chemistry credit (for freshmen)
- At least 16 hrs/week commitment
- Multiple semester commitment
