P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund for Women

The P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund was established in 1907 and makes loans available to qualified women who desire higher education and are in need of financial assistance.  
Program features:
  • 2% interest rate
  • 3 Loan Amounts
    • $12,000 – associate and bachelor degree programs, technical or professional training and post-graduate certifications
    • $15,000 – master’s degree
    • $20,000 – doctoral degree
  • 8 year payback on loans up to $15,000
  • 10 year payback on loans over $15,000
  • 6 months after graduation loan repayment begins

Applicants must:

  • be a citizen or legal permanent resident of United State or Canada
  • be a high school graduate (or equivalent)
  • meet the minimum credit score of 625
  • not exceed the indebtedness limit for her degree level
  • have 2 qualified cosigners for the loan
  • be enrolled in an accredited school in the United States or Canada at the time the loan is drawn. (Within 2 years, but not less than 4 months of completing her course of study)
    • No installment may be drawn by a first year student in a two-year program until she has satisfactorily completed at least one semester, trimester or quarter of college work,  or a grading period in a non-collegiate program.
