The P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund was established in 1907 and makes loans available to qualified women who desire higher education and are in need of financial assistance.
Program features:
- 2% interest rate
- 3 Loan Amounts
- $12,000 – associate and bachelor degree programs, technical or professional training and post-graduate certifications
- $15,000 – master’s degree
- $20,000 – doctoral degree
- 8 year payback on loans up to $15,000
- 10 year payback on loans over $15,000
- 6 months after graduation loan repayment begins
Applicants must:
- be a citizen or legal permanent resident of United State or Canada
- be a high school graduate (or equivalent)
- meet the minimum credit score of 625
- not exceed the indebtedness limit for her degree level
- have 2 qualified cosigners for the loan
- be enrolled in an accredited school in the United States or Canada at the time the loan is drawn. (Within 2 years, but not less than 4 months of completing her course of study)
- No installment may be drawn by a first year student in a two-year program until she has satisfactorily completed at least one semester, trimester or quarter of college work, or a grading period in a non-collegiate program.
