MCB Peer Advisors Application Period

Deadline: Monday, February 22

The MCB Peer Advising program is recruiting for outstanding sophomore and junior undergraduates in MCB to join during the Spring 2016 semester!  MCB Peer Advisors are trained to assist with general education and advanced MCB course selection during registration season. They also guide students in accessing the array of both academic and personal resources available at the university. They serve as mentors along with the full-time advisors during express advising periods to guide incoming biology undergraduates as well as declared MCB majors, sharing their knowledge and expertise on all matters related to being a successful student at the university. It is a great opportunity to enhance your communication skills and develop your mentoring capacity!”  NOTE: you MUST be available to take the MCB 199 MPA section during the second 8 weeks of the semester.  This meets on Wednesdays 2-2:50 PM and begins March 16.  This course provides 1 hour of course credit (S/U grading) and is necessary for Peer Advising training.  Address any questions to:  mcb_peer_advising@lists.illinois.edu
