tunneling-spectroscopy-cnt
We use non-invasive superconducting tunnel probes to perform spectroscopy on CNT quantum dots. The high density of states in the superconducting probe enhances features such as co-tunneling and scattering processes. The three-probe technique is used to map out changes in conductance due to band structure, excited states, and end-to-end bias. Figure at left shows conductance through the superconducting probe to an end-contact of the CNT; one can see co-tunneling, extra lines due to bias, and “inelastic scattering” features inside the gap. Publications include this APL.
