Eligibility

You are eligible to participate if you…

  • are at least 18 years of age
  • currently practice family law or represent clients in child custody cases in the U.S.
  • have never completed SAFeR training

What You Will Do

  1. Complete a ~20-minute survey online before your SAFeR or alternative training session
    • Questions are about you and your current practice
    • All responses are confidential
  2. Participate in a virtual training session or view a presentation about working with child custody cases involving IPV
  3. Complete four additional ~20-minute surveys online (one immediately after your SAFeR training session, one a month after the training session, and then one every three months thereafter)
  4. Optional: Some participants may opt-in to complete two ~60-minute interviews about working with child custody cases

Compensation for Your Time

$20 for completing each long-term follow-up survey (e.g., 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months) and $20 for completing each optional interview

You will also qualify to receive CLEs at no cost to you after completing the SAFeR training

Scheduling

You can begin participation at any time! Scheduling is flexible, and we will do our best to work around your existing schedule.
