National Library Makerspaces Forum Listening Sessions
Three online Listening Sessions were convened in March 2025 and were open to all who wished to collaboratively envision and plan the future of library makerspaces nationwide. During each interactive one-hour session, participants explored four key areas:
- Values – What are our core values?
- Vision – What does success look like for your makerspace—or for library makerspaces in general? What is the future we want to create?
- Priorities – What should we focus on over the next five to ten years?
- Resources – What crucial resources or opportunities are needed to achieve these goals?
Additional input was collected through an asynchronous feedback form for those unable to attend the live sessions.
