National Forum to Connect and Advance Library Makerspaces

Three children are working collaboratively on a littleBits invention.

Bringing together the library makerspace community to chart the future of library makerspaces

This IMLS-funded initiative brings together library professionals, educators, researchers, and makers from across the country. Together, we will reflect on the progress of library makerspaces and chart a path for their continued growth.

Library makerspaces have become an essential part of libraries nationwide. Makerspaces increase access, foster creativity and learning, and strengthen communities. We aim to strengthen networks, share and leverage existing knowledge, and collaborate on new ideas that will help library makerspaces better serve their communities. Join us as we explore innovative ways to enhance library makerspaces and ensure they continue to thrive in the years to come.
