Law Competition Program Events

The Anderson Center sends teams to Alternative & Dispute Resolution competitions such as the ABA Client Counseling and ABA Negotiation. Intraschool competitions are utilized to determine ADR teams and may vary from year-to-year. The Anderson Center also hosts a fall competition to determine its external Moot Court teams and sends them to compete at many many external events throughout the academic year, including the NYCB National Moot Court Competition, the Anderson Center Seventh Circuit Moot Court Competition, and the Thurgood Marshall Memorial Moot Court Competition. The Anderson Center plans to send teams to eight different moot court competitions during the 2024-25 academic year. The Anderson Center additionally supports our nationally ranked Trial Team. Students are selected for Trial Team and Advanced Trial Team through an audition process traditionally held each year in mid-April. Eligibility for the trial team requires the prerequisites or co-requisites of three College of Law courses: Trial Advocacy (694), Fundamentals of Trial Practice (695), and Evidence (682).
