Just a few reminders and notes:
- Orientation and the Welcome Reception are casual. Feel free to save the professional attire for the competition.
- Reminder to bring an ID with you for your Check-In at the Security Desk when you get to the building. You may also need an ID for the Welcome Reception.
We will discuss these aspects in more detail at Team Check-In and Orientation but as a primer:
- Please watch what you are posting on social media. We are already dealing with an abundance of conflicts with judge assignments- please help us by not inadvertently creating more.
- To that end, in an additional effort to preemptively avoid conflicts and make the conflicts check before the rounds as smooth as possible, upon Check-In for Orientation we will providing all teams with a list of our judges for the weekend. On that list we will need you to mark potential conflicts for your team (competing students, onsite coaches, or both). Our hope is to have completed lists back before Orientation concludes so we can make any last minute judge reassignments for the preliminaries as needed, and plan accordingly for the later rounds. So if you have a coach or anyone not at the Orientation, but who will be onsite at the competition either competing or coaching, please make arrangements so that your team can hopefully get their conflict information that evening (ex. take a picture of the list and call them, email them a picture of the list, etc…).
