Illini Physical Activity Symposium

This is the first edition of the Illini Physical Activity Symposium organized by the IPA Initiative to celebrate International Physical Activity Day. This event joins researchers, faculty, and students to discuss their interests with physical activity by including a keynote speaker (Dr. Susan Aguiñaga), abstract presentations to showcase current research, and a chance to discuss these topics.

The deadline for submitting abstracts to participate in the 2025 Physical Activity International Day Symposium is April 13. 

General Information:
The abstract must be limited to 250 words or fewer.
Abstracts of works-in-progress will be accepted.
Abstracts should include one of the following topic areas:
Community Health, Kinesiology, Physical Activity, Health Promotion, and Epidemiology.
Abstracts must be submitted in Arial font, 12-point size, single-spaced, and formatted as a single paragraph (no bullet points or numbered lists).

Abstract Structure:
Background: Provide a brief description of the context or problem being addressed.
Aim: State the objective or purpose of the research.
Methods: Summarize the research design, approach, or methodology used.
Results: Briefly present the main findings or outcomes of the research.
Conclusion: Conclude with the implications or significance of the results.
