About this project
Welcome to our dedicated research team under the leadership of Eliza Baby, from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College of Applied Health Sciences. We are embarking on a groundbreaking study focusing on a range of ages and people in order to greater understand how young adults think.
Researchers at the Department of Speech and Hearing Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are seeking volunteers for a research study on the effects of aging on brain activity and behavioral performance. The study will take place at the Department of Speech and Hearing Science. There is no cost for participation, and volunteers will be compensated for their participation. Parking will be available at no cost to the participant.
You may be eligible if you
- are 55-85 years old
- have memory problems or a diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment (MCI)
- are a native speaker of English
- are medically healthy
- have a minimum of a high school education (or equivalent)
You may not be eligible if you have
- a history of psychological or neurological illness
- a history of drug or alcohol abuse
- severe physical impairments
- a diagnosis of dementia
