Congratulations to Xiaoxi Chen on Being Selected as a Mavis Future Faculty Fellow

We are delighted to share that Xiaoxi Chen has been selected as a Mavis Future Faculty Fellow at The Grainger College of Engineering, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The Mavis Future Faculty Fellows (MF3) Program is designed to help prepare the next generation of engineering faculty through professional development in research, teaching, and mentoring.

Xiaoxi is a PhD student in the Illinois-Carle Joint Neural Engineering and Rehabilitation Laboratory (JNERL). Her research focuses on medical imaging and neuroscience. Through her work in the lab, she contributes to research at the intersection of imaging, engineering, and brain health.

The MF3 program offers fellows opportunities to engage in workshops, seminars, and related activities that address major aspects of academic life. Program topics include faculty responsibilities, academic job application materials, campus interviews, mentoring, and professional growth for future engineering educators. Fellows also work with mentors and participate in activities that strengthen their preparation for academic careers.

We warmly congratulate Xiaoxi on this achievement and look forward to her continued growth and contributions to the lab and the broader academic community.
