About Me
Hi, my name is Jess Chen, and I am super excited to get to know and support you during our time together in LAS 102! I am a junior majoring in clinical-community psychology. In the fall of 2024, I transferred from a college close to home in southern Illinois. More specifically, I am from Columbia, IL.
One of my favorite involvements is campus RSOs. I am active in the Psych Bites Undergraduate Psychology Journal, Brain Matters Undergraduate Neuroscience Journal, Undergraduate Psychology Association, Undergraduate Pre-PhD Society, and Asian American Association.
I dedicate my time to research in the Psychology Department, where I work as a research assistant with the Health Equity and Action Lab and the Social Cognition Lab. In addition, I am a LAS James Scholar and a TRIO McNair Scholar.
Lastly, you might recognize that I am an Illini Transfer Ambassador…
Some other activities I fill my free time with are lounging in matcha cafes, going for walks around campus, dancing anywhere there’s music, and baking sweet treats until I’ve mastered the recipes.
If you’d like to contact me, my email is jessc2@illinois.edu!
