The Illinois MakerLab offered a workshop at the Innovation Spaces in March. Participants of all ages came to learn the basics of electronics, and how to make cool things! CITL Innovation Spaces is hosting a variety of hands-on emerging technology topics for beginners. Workshops are open to everyone. (Note: workshops can count towards the Certificate in Teaching-Enhanced Technology, but may require a short reflection paper.)

The MakerGirl RSO began using the Innovation Studio for some of their events in the Fall of 2017. They offer workshops to teach young girls the basics of 3D printing. Due to our strong partnership with Makergirl, we are lucky to house 9 of their Ultimaker printers in the TechHub and Innovation Studio.
CocoaNuts helped to introduce more students to the Innovation Studio offering two workshops to their members at the beginning of the Fall term.
