This June, Professor Carena van Riper and Dana Johnson traveled to the VU University Amsterdam, Netherlands for the second meeting with the international ENVISION team. During a three day workshop, the broader collaboration provided updates on current findings from each study site, developed strategies for collaborating across sites, and deepened the meaning of ‘inclusive conservation’ through in-depth discussions and small group exercises. The group also learned a lot from visiting the Dutch study sites in the province of Utrecht and speaking with stakeholders involved in this research.
Carena and Dana presented preliminary findings and updates from the US site in person, while Professor Bill Stewart and Ben Leitschuh enriched the conversation remotely! The workshop was tremendously productive and our team looks forward to the next meeting in Sweden!
