We have a limited number of parking spots available. These parking spots are first-come-first-served, do not require a permit hang tag, and are at marked (“STEM”) meters found in these two locations (both located about 0.3mile from the Illini Union): Click here for the Parking Map
- Lot B1: located at the corner of Goodwin and Springfield Avenues
- S. Mathews Street between Springfield Ave and Green St
If those locations are full, there are nearby metered spots that you will need to pay for. Note if you park at a U. of I.-owned meter: U. of I. requires the use of parking apps to pay for these meters. Three different apps can be used. - There are a large number of UIUC-owned metered spots near Turner Hall – both in Lot F28 and along Dorner Drive. These are located about 0.8 mi south of the Illini Union. There are also some City of Urbana metered parking spots on Goodwin Ave between Nevada St. and Springfield Ave, but they may have a restricted time limit.
If you enter through the south side of the Illini Union, make sure to follow the signs to the check-in areas. The 1st-floor north lounge is the check-in area for registered non-presenters (sponsors, partners, and visitors) and same-day attendees. The 1st-floor west lounge is the check-in area for student presenters and same-day attendees. If you are affiliated with the University of Illinois, please bring your i-Card with you to make checking in go faster.
The metered parking spots at the Illini Union are reserved for sponsors, partners, and attendees with accessibility concerns. Otherwise, we ask all other event attendees to use the other parking options listed above.
