The Illinois Distinguished Postdoctoral and Visiting Scholar Program supports individuals from under-represented groups and women who are promising candidates for campus faculty positions. Each Postdoc or Scholar is advised by a faculty mentor/sponsor. The objective is to provide high quality mentoring and support for high-potential candidates with the goal of preparing them for tenure track assistant professor appointments.
The Illinois Distinguished Postdoctoral Program is sponsored by the DRIVE Committee (Diversity Realized at Illinois by Visioning Excellence). For more information and eligibility requirements visit the DRIVE committee webpage http://diversity.illinois.edu/DRIVE.html.
