Forest Park Beach

Forest Park Beach is along the bluff coast of Lake Michigan. The circular breakwaters were installed at Forest Park in 1986 to reduce erosion and protect the bluffs. This has reduced the nourishment of the beaches that historically came from bluff erosion. Reduction of the beach has led to lakebed erosion which allows larger waves and more erosion.
