Welcome, competitors and spectators, to the 33rd annual Illini Dancesport Invitational! We’re excited to host teams from across the Midwest to kick off another year of dancing, competitions, and community. We can’t wait to see you on the dance floor in a few weeks!

Welcome Dance & Packet Pick Up
Friday, October 10th · 7:30–10:00 PM · Illini Union Rooms ABC
Kick off the weekend by meeting the teams, picking up your packet, and enjoying a casual evening of social dancing.
Morning Session — Smooth & Standard
Saturday, October 11th · 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM · Illini Union Rooms ABC
Start the day with elegant frames and classic ballroom style on the competition floor.
Lunch Break
Saturday, October 11th · 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Take a break to refuel, catch up with friends, and get ready for the afternoon rounds.
Afternoon Session — Rhythm & Latin
Saturday, October 11th · 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM · Illini Union Rooms ABC
Finish strong with lively rhythms and Latin flair to close out the day’s competition.
Venue & Parking
All events on Friday evening and Saturday will occur in the Illini Union Rooms ABC.

Parking is available in either university lots or on the street using meters. We recommend parking in Lot B1 Springfield Avenue between Mathews and Goodwin. If not parking in this lot, please review the lot’s enforcement policy on posted signage to avoid tickets as most lots are enforced 24 hours. Street parking is available along S. Matthews Ave and is enforced Monday-Saturday from 10:00AM – 6:00PM.
Spectator Information
Come cheer on local dancers and experience the excitement of competitive ballroom right here in our community! Our home competition is a chance to see everything from elegant waltzes to high-energy quicksteps while supporting friends, classmates, and fellow dance enthusiasts. Admission is free for UIUC students with a valid ID and for children ages 10 and under, and only $5 for non-students, making it an affordable and fun way to spend the day. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just curious to see what ballroom is all about, we’d love to see you there!
