Member Led Classes
Class Structure
Beginner
Beginner classes are designed for dancers with little to no prior experience, as well as those just starting the Bronze level. To introduce you to a variety of dances, our members teach rotating 3-week lesson sets. You’re welcome to attend every set or choose only the ones that fit your schedule. Each set concludes with a social dance, giving you a fun and relaxed opportunity to practice what you’ve learned.
Lesson Time: Tuesday and Thursday’s from 7-8PM

Intermediate
This class is for more experienced dancers who are looking for more advice and technique pointers on Bronze/Silver figures. Student led lessons will be tailored to the participants and will focus on Bronze, Silver, or higher figures and techniques. While instructors may choose to follow a similar structure as the beginner level, each week is dependent on each instructor.
Lesson Time: Tuesday and Thursday’s from 8:30-9:30PM

Zelle, check, or cash are the preferred payment methods as there are no transaction fees. Please send Zelle payments to ‘Illini Dancesport Team’ or search on Zelle for the ‘illinidance@gmail.com’ email. Checks can be made out to ‘Illini Dancesport Team’ with the memo ‘Spring 2026 Class Registration’. If paying via check or cash, please bring payment to the lesson and submit to a member of the Executive Board. If you are unable to pay via these methods, please email our Treasurer to discuss alternative options.

We currently do not offer refunds unless there was an accounting error and you were accidentally overcharged. To find the most affordable rates and payment plan based on your individual needs, please speak with our Treasurer, a member of the Executive Board, or email us.
