Do I have to have any dairy cattle, farming, industry experience to join?
No! Many members of the club do not come from dairy backgrounds and a multitude are not studying animal science or agriculture-based majors. We will provide you the skills you need to help you learn stockmanship and to get familiarized with the dairy industry!
Is attendance mandatory at any/all events and meetings?
Attendance is what you make it! You are welcome to attend as many or as few events as you would like! You are not required to attend socials, farm tours, or trips out to the university dairy farm, but if you want to see the cute calves, you might want to! Meetings are also not mandatory but give really good insight and educational opportunities relative to dairy.
How much does it cost to be a member?
Club dues are $5 for the calendar year. These dues go towards your membership in the American Dairy Science Association.
