President: The President of IWCC is responsible for organizing and running general meetings for members, coordinating executive board meetings, and aiding other executive board members with any additional tasks as needed. They will also oversee any events planned by other executive board members and ensure such events run smoothly.
Vice President: Their responsibilities revolve around two things; general meetings and speakers. The Vice President finds meeting rooms and sets up our guest speakers. They also assistant the President with coordination between all executive board members.
Secretary: They maintain communication with general and prospective members via email. In addition, they manage and organize the club’s files, and keep minutes of meetings.
Treasurer: They are responsible for the handling of all funds for the club (cash, Venmo, UIUC accounts). The treasurer needs to keep a thorough account of all transactions between the club and the members. Additionally, they are able to apply for funding from the university through SORF. Other responsibilities of the treasurer include handling any tax or government forms over the year, as well as organizing fundraisers to help fund our trips and social events.
Social Chair: They plan and coordinate monthly social events for IWCC, helping form a sense of community. This includes planning out events, gathering any necessary materials, and running the socials.
Trip Coordinator: They are responsible for planning three trips per semester; each trip should focus on exposing members to a variety of wildlife facilities, career options, nature centers etc. The trip executive also creates all sign up forms and driving arrangements, and they must work with the Treasurer to determine funding and prices.
Outreach Chair: They assist with holding or sponsoring philanthropy events for local wildlife conservation and environmental groups. This includes events like the Boneyard Creek Community Day that we participate in as a club every year. Furthermore, they are responsible for relaying information between our club and the ACES Council as well as between our club and the Student Sustainability Leadership Council. They are also to attend other potential events where the club would need a representative.
Webmaster: The Webmaster is responsible for posting on the Instagram account (posts can include informative, fun, or engaging material). They may also regularly maintain and update the IWCC website to have current information about the club and provide various resources for members.
