What research topics and/or issues are you currently pursuing?
Sanitation in developing communities including management of child feces, energy and nutrient recovery from bodily waste. Aligning goals for agriculture and human/environmental health along more sustainable trajectories.
What evaluation and analysis tools do you use most often in your research?
Environmental sampling of bodily waste, waters, soils, and surfaces; modeling of energy and nutrient recovery systems; life cycle assessment, techno-economic analysis, and technology performance modeling.
What investigations are of interest to you in the near future (next 1-3 years)?
Household energy and nutrient management, including resource recovery from bodily waste and protection of child health through pathogen destruction.
