This past August, Vinh Vo attended the joint meeting of the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE) and the International Society of Exposure Science (ISES) and presented his ongoing work with the Diet, Air Pollution, and Health Study.
At the conference, Vinh presented his poster on the associations between the oxidative potential of indoor particulate matter and salivary biomarkers of inflammation and oxidative stress in school-aged children. His work is part of the Diet, Air Pollution, and Health study which investigates the potential for dietary factors to modify the adverse associations between indoor air pollutants and inflammation in children. The work presented at ISEE-ISES is part of Vinh’s master’s thesis project.
The Diet, Air Pollution, and Health (DAPH) study was funded by a seed grant from the University of Illinois Personalized Nutrition Initiative.
