Designing Inclusive Privacy and Security Experiences

Abstract:
In this talk, I will present my work on designing inclusive privacy and security experiences, which challenges and complements the mainstream perspectives on privacy and security research that focus on purely technical work and generic users. The goal of inclusive privacy and security is to design privacy and security mechanisms that are inclusive to individuals with various characteristics, abilities, needs, and values. I will discuss a number of projects under this umbrella, such as authentication, CAPTCHA, phishing, computer vision and crypto wallets.
