This project attempts to demonstrate the sparging of fission gases from FLiNaK, a molten salt identified for potential use in advanced nuclear reactor designs. Fission gases such as Xe and Kr will be sparged with He using the gas sparging experimental facility. Gas sparging refers to the removal of a dissolved gas by bubbling another gas through the medium.
