Happy Monday everyone! Today’s Meet the Staff member is one of our new fall hires, Michelle Parker! Michelle’s concentration within GSLIS is academic librarianship with some data analysis on the side. Moving here from Seattle, Washington, Michelle is learning to love the cold and is having lots of Midwestern adventures.
Her favorite item to borrow from the Help Desk is the Strawberries and Cream MacBook Charger and we agree—the sticker placement is pretty rad. An interesting class that she took recently was Community Informatics.
The top three things that she would bring with her if she were stranded on a desert island are:
- food
- water
- a crate of interesting books
Pretty practical! Would love to hear more about what interesting books would be in that crate. Also, having time to read…that sounds nice 🙂
Finally, one unique thing about Michelle, in her own words: “One unique thing about me would be my awkwardness. I mean seriously I should win a prize for how awkward I can be at times!”
